Prowadził ogródek w tunelu, hodował krowy, jeździł traktorem, spawał, zakłądał szkoły, masarnię i… resztę zapomniałam. Oczywiście to z przymrużeniem oka. ; )
Ciąg dalszy spotkania prowadził p. Karol Fromont, a temat dotyczył przebaczenia.
To naprawdę dobry czas. Soboty misyjne to też skarb! Dziękuję Siostrom za ich organizację.

Have you ever found a treasure? I personally haven’t, that is, if it’s a treasure of the fairytale kind, in a trunk with a key to it, a map to help you find it. Treasures, however, can be intangible in my opinion. I receive many such treasures every day from the Lord. Do you also recognize them in your life? Well, and most importantly, what do treasures and Mission Saturday have in common? You are about to find out. : )
On the second Saturday of the month, we met at the home of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa for a regular event. We started by reflecting on the Sunday Gospel, sharing it, praying together. And then we got to know each other, snacking on delicious cheese cake, nibbling on finger foods with a mug of warm tea in hand.
The first guest of the day was Fr. Adam Pirożek, who took us on a distant journey, all the way to Bolivia. Father worked there for more than thirty years as a missionary. He left at a time when the borders of Poland were left with a single ticket. However, a lot has changed over the years, so Fr. Adam returned. I think it is safe to say about him – a renaissance man in the work category. I think Fr. Adam had all kinds of jobs there! He ran a tunnel garden, raised cows, drove a tractor, and welded, set up schools, a butcher shop and…. I forget the rest. Of course, he also celebrated Mass. We were able to see all this in pictures and even videos from years ago. Thanks to this, we also saw the landscapes, the costumes, the daily life of the people there. And what about the treasure mentioned earlier? Fr. Adam told us an interesting story about the Inca, also related to Poland. Some people long ago (at the time of the colonizers) believed that the Incas had no souls. It happened that some of the Incas were invited to Portugal/Spain (I forgot). When the Inca representative there sang beautifully it was concluded that since they sang like that, they must have a soul. The Europeans wanted to find out from one of them where the Inca treasure was hidden. He did not want to betray and fled from there across Europe. According to Fr. Adam’s story, he made it all the way to Poland near Czorsztyn Castle, hid there, then was caught near the Sudeten Mountains. This story was rather disbelieved until, years later; a knotted Inca writing was discovered in the castle. It was indecipherable by contemporaries. It is believed that some sort of clue to the Inca treasure was conveyed through this writing. Our speaker claims that he will one day find out where the treasure is. He will receive special gifts of the Holy Spirit and read their writing. After all, he spent so many years among the people there. Of course, this is with a pinch of salt. ; )
The continuation of the meeting was led by Mr. Karol Fromont, and the topic was about forgiveness. Forgiveness is our decision, it is our decision whether someone wants reconciliation or not. Forgiveness does not mean that we have to reconnect with the person who hurt us, especially if they have not changed or understood the mistake. Forgiveness is in the heart, in the head. For forgiveness, one person is needed – I. Reconciliation comes after the persecutor’s life has been transformed. This he beautifully explained using the story of Joseph son of Jacob from the Old Testament. Joseph had forgiven his brothers long before they even went to Egypt to buy some food for the family. But the reconciliation came only when Joseph discovered that his brothers had changed. They were even ready to give up their lives for their younger brother Benjamin. P. Karol also showed us excerpts from some famous films, in which it turns out that the actors while playing their part, relived their own difficult stories of the past which lead to deep forgiveness.
After content for the mind and spirit, it was time for something else, namely a delicious lunch. : ) There was no shortage of conversation at the table and while washing up. We finished Mission Saturday with the Lord Jesus in front of the Blessed Sacrament. A really good time. Mission Saturdays are also a treasure! Thank you to the Sisters for organizing them.
